In October, 2025, the Youth Climate Collective (YCC) hosted the first part of the Climate Patch Series, a collaborative workshop that brought together campaigners, innovators, and experts from across Africa to co-design practical solutions to the systemic barriers blocking youth-led climate innovation. The two sessions confronted the financing gaps and institutional failures that exclude young people, producing co-created frameworks for flexible funding, ecosystem support, and structural reforms, insights now being formalized into a practical guide, “Powering Youth Finance Instruments”.
