What’s Ahead for the Youth Climate Collective in 2026

Welcome to 2026 with the Youth Climate Collective, where young people lead the charge for climate justice with campaigns, tools, and a stronger voice.

Welcome to a new year of action. At the Youth Climate Collective (YCC), we believe young people are not just the future, they are powerful leaders for change today. This year, we’re launching bold projects to turn this belief into reality.

Here’s a glimpse of what we’re building in 2026:

We’re creating practical toolkits to help youth-led projects find and secure climate funding. We’re running campaigns like #DriveTheFuture to push the government to spend public money on decarbonization of the transport sector via electric vehicles. We’re launching The Climate Nexus podcast to share the stories and strategies of climate leaders.

This year, we’ll focus on key moments to make our voices heard. For World Water Day, we’ll mobilize our network to demand clean water for all. We will also launch a powerful campaign for Earth Day and host the second edition of our Climate Patch Series to redesign national adaptation plans that center indigenous rights and resilient development. Throughout the year, we’ll grow our network, train young negotiators for global talks, and create a Youth Manifesto on Water Access to directly influence policymakers.

Building on a Strong Foundation

Our plans for 2026 are built on the momentum we created last year. In 2025, we united 56 organizations to demand action from African leaders and successfully placed Nigerian youth demands on major stages like COP30. We trained youth advocates and co-designed real solutions to the funding gaps that young people face. We are ready to scale up that impact.

We are excited to build power, take action, and create a future where youth voices lead the way.

Join us. The journey continues.
